STRANGER SHOT: Tyler Cardiel, 18, an honor student fresh out of high school in Arizona
STRANGER SHOT: Tyler Cardiel, 18, an honor student fresh out of high school in Arizona, was shot and killed by a stranger while walking home from work.
His killer, Timothy Bell, 35, told police he was angry, cold, and tired — and shot Tyler after he simply crossed paths with him.
Bell pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, robbery, and weapons misconduct, and was sentenced to 49 years in prison.
Tyler’s mother described her son as “a good kid” who “never went on his first date” and “didn’t deserve this.”
The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office called it “a senseless and violent act that took an innocent life and forever changed a family.”
