Dressed in white, she smiled for photos and tried to enjoy what should have been the happiest day of her life — but inside, she was terrified. Before walking down the aisle, she begged her groom, 44-year-old Dan Broderick, to wear a bulletproof vest. She was convinced his ex-wife, Betty, might try to kill them. Seven months later, her worst fear came true.


Linda had once been Dan’s secretary — bright, full of life, and deeply in love. Their romance began while Dan was still married, a secret affair that would eventually tear two families apart. When he finally divorced Betty in 1985, it wasn’t the end of their story — it was the beginning of a nightmare.

Despite many years of hard work by investigators, the identity of the Buckskin Girl remained unknown for over 30 years. On April 9, 2018, the Miami Valley Regional Crime Laboratory announced that they had identified the woman as 21-year-old Marcia Lenore King from Little Rock, Arkansas. Marcia had last been seen by her family in 1980. Although she wasn’t officially reported missing, her family had kept searching for her. The identification was made possible by detailed DNA testing. Sadly, the person who caused her death has still not been found.

At 5:40 am on January 7, 2025, Thomas “Duncan” Callens was captured on surveillance video at the Old Bull Market located at 3107 Hwy 72 West, across from the Morris Crum Tire Center in Corinth, Mississippi. Since he wasn’t properly dressed for the weather, the clerk at the store gave Callens a drink, a coat, and a black shirt with yellow writing on it. The clerk also allowed him to charge his phone.
