It was a warm summer afternoon in Daytona Beach, Florida, in July of 2014, when a father was horrified to walk into his 11-year-old son’s bedroom to find him being molested. The perpetrator was 18-year-old Raymond Frolander, a family friend.



Shortly thereafter, the father called police to inform them that he had beat the molester to a pulp. “I just walked in on a grown man molesting [name redacted]. And I got him in a bloody puddle for you right now, officer. Send an ambulance. He is going to need one,” he said.


When questioned further, the father said: “He stood up and his pants were around his ankles and nothing else needed to be said. I did whatever I got a right to do except I didn’t kill him.” The operator asked the father if the molester was still unconscious to which he replied: “Yes… I hit hard, sir.”


The operator then asked if any weapons had been used to which the 35-year-old father responded: “My foot and my fist. He is nice and knocked out on the floor for you, I dragged him into the living room.” He added that Frolander was a “damn lucky boy that I love my God.” Presumably he was alluding to the fact that if he was not a religious man, he would’ve killed him.

On April 16, 1947, Rudolf Höss was executed in the old field of Auschwitz I, in occupied Poland. As the founder and first commander of the Auschwitz complex, he had overseen one of the largest mass killing systems of the Holocaust during World War II.   After Germany’s defeat, Höss was captured by British forces in 1946. He later testified at the Nuremberg Trials before being tried by the National Supreme Court of Poland.  The court found him guilty of crimes against humanity and sentenced him to death.   His execution was carried out beside the ruins of the old Gestapo building, only a few meters from the villa where he had lived with his family while the extermination complex was in operation. In April 1981, the body of a young white woman was found in a ditch on Greenlee Road in Newton Township, Ohio. She was wearing a buckskin poncho, so investigators called her the "Buckskin Girl." That same day, her body was examined. It was found that she had suffered serious injuries to her head and neck before being strangled to death about 48 hours before her body was found. Despite many years of hard work by investigators, the identity of the Buckskin Girl remained unknown for over 30 years. On April 9, 2018, the Miami Valley Regional Crime Laboratory announced that they had identified the woman as 21-year-old Marcia Lenore King from Little Rock, Arkansas. Marcia had last been seen by her family in 1980. Although she wasn’t officially reported missing, her family had kept searching for her. The identification was made possible by detailed DNA testing.
