Anatoly Moskvin's parents had thought he collected vintage dolls, but in reality they were actually mummified girls. After stealing bodies from the graveyard, he used a solution of salt and baking soda to preserve the corpses. 



Then he put music boxes in their chest cavities and buttons in their eye sockets — and proudly displayed over 25 dead young girls in his apartment.

    You're a good writer, so I'm uncertain why you didn't do a full piece on this story. I've read numerous articles and books on this man, so there is plenty of research material out there. While you'll write incomplete long-winded stories about the Oscars - never once including why the photograph was haunting nor include what was said in the speeches that raised eyebrows and tempers before skipping ahead to the next bullet point that grabbed your attention - you barely put any effort into this? A story, I would wager, your readers are far more interested in.
    Beyond that, you used a photograph of a 14-year-old girl from WW2 in Auschwitz? Disrespectful. There are photos of that man's house with the dolls you could have used. Look, I fully understand the difficulty of engaging when ones attention isn't in it (diagnosed with ADHD as a child and again as an adult), so that's my bread and butter, but seeing this is YOUR blog, that means you aren't being forced to participate or cover history you aren't interested in. And this post is giving minimal effort and posting for the sake of posting.

In April 1981, the body of a young white woman was found in a ditch on Greenlee Road in Newton Township, Ohio. She was wearing a buckskin poncho, so investigators called her the "Buckskin Girl." That same day, her body was examined. It was found that she had suffered serious injuries to her head and neck before being strangled to death about 48 hours before her body was found. Despite many years of hard work by investigators, the identity of the Buckskin Girl remained unknown for over 30 years. On April 9, 2018, the Miami Valley Regional Crime Laboratory announced that they had identified the woman as 21-year-old Marcia Lenore King from Little Rock, Arkansas. Marcia had last been seen by her family in 1980. Although she wasn’t officially reported missing, her family had kept searching for her. The identification was made possible by detailed DNA testing.
