Woman Allegedly Recruiting Individuals to Assassinate Trump
A 39-year-old woman from Ripley, West Virginia, was arrested after allegedly using social media to recruit people to assassinate President Donald Trump, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.
Morgan L. Morrow was detained following an investigation by deputies and the Jackson County Bureau of Investigations. She has been charged with one count of terroristic threats and is being held at the South Central Regional Jail with no bond set.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Department stated in a Facebook post that the arrest stemmed from Morrow's alleged social media recruitment efforts to "pursue and assassinate" President Trump. The post, authored by Sheriff RH Mellinger, emphasized that the announcement was not politically oriented but part of an active criminal investigation involving "documented and troubling concerns." Further details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
