Angel Lynn was 19-years-old when she was kidnapped in broad daylight by her boyfriend, Chay Bowskill, in September 2020. The incident unfolded on a roadside in Leicestershire, where CCTV captured Bowskill grabbing Angel and forcing her into a van as she tried to flee.


 

Moments later, the van sped away at high speeds. During the journey, Angel fell from the vehicle, suffering catastrophic brain injuries that left her unable to walk, talk, or care for herself.

It was soon revealed that Bowskill had exhibited coercive and controlling behaviour leading up to the kidnapping. In 2022, he was convicted of kidnap, coercive control, and perverting the course of justice and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
