A Kentucky man has been sentenced to three decades in prison after pleading guilty to the r*pe of a 6-month-old baby.

A Kentucky man has been sentenced to three decades in prison after pleading guilty to the r*pe of a 6-month-old baby.

Mykill Puckett, 26, appeared in Webster Circuit Court, where he admitted to multiple charges following a 2023 investigation. According to Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman, those charges included first-degree rape of a child under 12, incest, first-degree assault, first-degree criminal abuse of a child under 12, and first-degree wanton endangerment.



Puckett will not be eligible for parole. Upon release, he will serve five years of probation and be barred from contacting the victim for at least a decade.


“The abuse in this case was simply horrific. Law enforcement and prosecutors responded with the full weight of Kentucky’s justice system,” Commonwealth’s Attorney Zac Greenwell said in a statement.

The case began in August 2023 after hospital staff alerted authorities to suspected child abuse when the infant was brought in with injuries. Puckett and his partner, Holly Jo Jones, were later arrested. Jones faces charges of first-degree assault and criminal abuse and is awaiting her court proceedings.
