I PAID FOR MY STEPDAUGHTER'S WEDDING, BUT SHE CHOSE HER BIO DAD OVER ME TO WALK HER DOWN THE AISLE

Anna became my stepdaughter 15 years ago, after marrying her mom, Helen. Her dad, Tom, was always absent, while I paid for her education, car, and dream wedding. Anna asked me to walk her down the aisle and share the first dance with her.

But on the wedding day, she called:

Anna: "Jeremy, my REAL dad is here now, so you don't need to walk me. And the first dance? He'll do that too. Stay home."

I was taken aback. "What do you mean stay home? I've done everything to make sure this day was perfect for you."

Anna: "It's my wedding. I want my real dad. It's not about you."

Stunned, I showed up anyway.

Anna: "Jeremy, I told you—you're not needed here."

Tom (smirking): "Relax, Jeremy, I'll take care of my baby girl now and handle everything."

My wife rolled her eyes: "Jeremy, stop causing a scene. It's Anna's special day. By the way, I meant to tell you — your side of the family won't be here. I forgot to send out their invitations. It's better this way. Fewer people, less drama."

I had given them everything, but NOT THIS TIME. If they want to do it without me, then so be it.
