Mykill Puckett, a 26-year-old from Webster County, Kentucky, was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple felony charges involving a 6-month-old infant. The charges included first-degree se*ual as*ault, incest, first-degree assault, first-degree criminal abuse, and first-degree wanton endangerment.
The case came to light in August 2023, when hospital staff reported concerns after the infant was brought in for medical care.
Puckett’s partner, Holly Jo Jones, was also arrested and faces charges of first-degree as*ault and criminal abu*e. Her court proceedings are still pending.
As part of his sentence, Puckett will not be eligible for parole, must complete five years of post-incarceration supervision, and is required to register as a sex offender for life. A 10-year protective order also prevents him from having any contact with the child.
Authorities described the case as deeply troubling and emphasized the serious legal consequences for crimes involving children.
